An unknown error has occurred.

Server: 'smtp.verizon.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80070057
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 465
Secure(SSL): Yes

----------------------

Above is the error message I get. It's worked great ever since verizon.net addresses became part of AOL., until a few days ago. I run Windows 7.

I've checked all the port settings. for outgoing 465 SSL, smtp.verizon.net, Log on using clear text authentication is selected, as it always has been. My server requires authentication is checked, as it always has been.

Any advice would be appreciated, especially if it works.

Thanks.

I need your assistance to retrieve my contacts I saved in my Lumia phone which I lost recently.

I have signed into my Microsoft account and tried to access the contacts online on the Outlook page via ‘’https://outlook.live.com/people‘’. I was able to get to the ‘People’ page, but when I clicked on the ‘All Contacts’ link, it was empty. When I clicked on the ‘All Contact Lists’ I found only Grouped contacts, i.e., contacts that were saved in groups…not a single individual contact was seen.

I have been working on this for the past two days and have not succeeded.  Please kindly assist me.

The last few months (maybe longer than that and I just didn't notice) as new emails are being received into my inbox, I'll see one briefly and then it just disappears. Other new ones are there, but not that one. It's not in Junk mail or anywhere else. I have Windows Live Mail 2011. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am using Windows Live Mail on my pc to retrieve email from my hotmail.com email address (which is managed by outlook.live.com). I have set up my hotmail account to not reject junk mail on outlook.live.com and to leave them in it's Junk Email box. However, my pc's Windows Live Mail program will not download any of the emails sitting in the outlook.live.com's junk email box into my Windows Live Mail's Junk Email box. At one time it was able to download the junk email box, but for some reason it can no longer download them. Outlook.live.com is preventing my Windows Live Mail from accessing any emails in the Outlook.live.com's Junk Email box.

How do I get Outlook.Live.Com to allow its Junk Email box to be downloaded by Windows Live Mail into its own Junk Email box?
