I have a new (refurbished) computer and when I try to add my email account to Windows, it pops up with error code:
0x8000000b
I have been able to add this account to my other laptop successfully.
Any idea how I address the above error issue?

Is there any way to avoid having to sign in to my live.com account each time I access it?

Because the account is so old I do not have a secondary email or phone attached. I have followed to steps to retrieve the account however I am not supplying sufficient information. For example, the questions ask me to provide skype contact details for people and my skype account name. I haven't used skype in about 5 years i think. I also need to provide credit card details, but I am sure that i have updated my credit card details since they have been attached to my hotmail. Using an alternative email address, the accounts team have sent me an email saying "Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership" and recommend setting up a new one. I dont know how this will work as I have a number of subscriptions etc attached to that account.
Even my microsoft subscription is attached to it and i cant sign into my microsoft account to change anything! Catch 22 eh.
