I wonder if anyone can help with what seems a superficially simple problem with Windows Live Mail.
I have used WLM for quite a long time, but this just seems to have come out of nowhere.
Retained emails are stored in numerous named folders, and previously access to these only required a simple click to open and view the full contents. However, about a week ago, this stopped happening. The folders are still there, but can't be opened.
All that a click now produces is the appearance of what was presumably the last item to be filed. So, trying to access old emails is almost impossible.
Also, when new emails come in, which they still seem to do without any obvious problems, no list of these is formed as was before.
I can still access new emails, but only one by one and without knowing who they are from until they are open. [Which in itself is not a good thing]
In these circumstance I can react with the opened email if required, but only in this one off opportunity because, as soon as I want open another, it gets lost into the inaccessible storage system.
I'm long time retired, so not as computer savvy as I am sure you all are, but should be able to follow instructions.
