unable to send mail on my WinMailLive 2012. I get the error msg that the server does not recognize my e-mail address. I am able to receive mail however.

Windows Live Mail "not responding" plus function to correct it are not working.

  1. I using Firefox
  2. online guidance suggested a re-installing IE. None of the advice was successful
  3. email converts to text and html. All help has not been successful
    1. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-wlinstall/windows-live-mail-not-responding/370f09bd-fc88-4375-a1a7-5f41f8616bcf
  4. Control Panel >Internet Options > General> Delete
    1. does not delete temp files
  5. Move folder>new TIF folder etc
    1. does not move files to new location
    2. under “Settings” the current location is not visible
    3. old temp files remain in the original folder
    4. after the "Move" option and reboot the new temp file remains empty
  6. It was mentioned that “something else might be wrong”.
    1. No guidance was given regarding the "somthing"
    2. . After 3 frustrating weeks I'd like to know what else I can try

What happens when you try? Remove all unsent messages from the outbox (below the account folders in the folder pane), then compose a new test message with a unique subject and send it to yourself. When you see the error message, click on it to select it, then use right-click to copy it and paste it into your reply here.

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Live Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

hi everyone, I am a gaming youtube that makes a variety of videos. Whenever I had a video that didn't need detailed editing I would use wmm. However recently wmm stopped working for me. I'm not sure if it was the update to windows 10 but, Now whenever I try to upload a video that's longer than say, 30 seconds, it says the file is corrupt. I have tried running this in compatibility mode for all versions that I can, I have reinstalled it and nothing has worked so far. It's a really quick and easy program and I would hate to not be able to solve this. Anyone have a fix for this?

After getting our computer serviced and cleaned out, every time I try to open my email, the following error comes up:

"Unable to send or  receive messages for the Telus (IMAP) account.  Header download for the "DRAFTS" folder did not complete.  The operation was canceled by the user.  LOGIN failed.  Error ID:  0x800CCC0F.  Please help!

I am having trouble with Windows Live Mail 2012.  Every time I open it, it says Recovering database.  I am also unable to delete messages.  Some will delete and some will not and I will get an error message saying unknown error.

screen says 'live account settings are outdated'.  I've hit 'fix account' & message on screen never changes from 'working on it'  How in the world can I use the program if it won't let me in?

Every time I open Windows Live, it asks me to sign in, even though I don't use my live account and I can still get all my other mail once I close the pop-up box.  I can't get it to go away even though I enter my password. And even if I do enter my password, it tells me I'm wrong. So I go change the password and it still tells me I'm wrong. How do I get this useless pop-up to go away every time I open my mail?
