I have Windows live mail 2011 on Windows 10.  After setting up my mail account, I found it was working Ok but my incoming mail shows up in my Delete Folder and not in my Inbox Folder. Also I have not junk mail or spam mail showing in the Junk Mail folder. How do I change this so incoming mail goes to the Inbox Folder and when I delete mail from the Inbox Folder it goes to the Delete Folder until I empty that folder??  I have not been able to find this information anywhere in Microsoft.com.

Original Title: Windows Live Mail.

I use Windows Live Mail on Windows 10, it was working perfectly until last evening when I had to change my Google Account Password. Even though I updated my other Microsoft email accounts with the new password ( they work fine) when entering the new Google Account Password using Live Mail the Google server will not accept it, and I cannot receive or send mail via my Google account. I get all types of messages telling me there is a problem. I contacted the Answer Desk and they could not determine where the problem was.

I did some experimenting on Google Accounts, and when I turned on security to "allow Less secure sites" don't you know Live Mail works fine, however, that's not a solution since I don't want outsiders having the ability to get into my Google accounts.

Can some one help me out here, there must be a simple answer out there to this problem.

Thanks,

Ken

received this Live Mail  msg: error ID: 0x800CCC0F, protocol IMAP, Port 993, SSL

Also this msg: X0 AUTH: None of authentication supported by the IMAP server are supported on this computer

These messages may help, when I update my Microsoft Account with the new Google PSW, Live Mail does not show as one of the accounts using Gmail, which is strange.

Original Title: All of my pics look good until clicking on them to edit - and they're pink :(

So my system did an automatic update to Windows 10 Home. Now, in Photo Gallery, the pics look good as a group. But when you click on one to edit, the backgrounds are all pink.  Attached are what it looks like from my end.  Uninstalled, reinstalled, updated...   Any suggestions?

Why has Microsoft removed the black and white photograph I used for my profile? Its my photograph.  I feel safer using something creative instead of an actual picture. I do not think eggs surrounded by ferns leaves grasses and other botanicals could possibly offend. I also feel this photograph conveys more about me than a selfie.  So what is really going on?

Original title: exporting contacts

I want to export contacts from my laptop to my pc. I go to export it asks for a format (.CSV) Once selected I get a dialog box asking for “Save exported file as”, and a side box Browse, opening this box takes me to my PC Folders.

The boxes at the bottom  are Back  Next  Cancel, the only one highlighted is Cancel.

At this point I am at a loss where to go next. Can someone help me? My OS is Windows 8.1
