transferring contacts to new computer

Have been using Windows Live Mail  on windows 10 for several years, have now replaced old computer with one using Windows mail. Is it possible to transfer contacts list from old to new? Have paid for data transfer but only mail folder transferred  is our Inbox so have lost saved mail as well.

My windows movie maker project crashed and all the videos are missing

Hi 

I am using Windows Movie Maker 12.  I have been working on a project for the last 5 days.  I have always saved it and keep saving it occasionally.  Once in a while it crashed but then when I opened it the project restored and I saved it again.  But, this time it crashed and when I opened again, it did not come up with the option to restore it!!!  The only thing that it showing up in the project are some of the titles.  All the video clips and the music files are gone.  Have I lost it all?  It was many many hours of work and I was close to publishing it.  Can you please help me to restore it, please?  This help will be a life savior.  Thank you.

is there any way to retrieve old MSN(windows live)messenger contacts from before microsoft forced the skype migration? I've tried going to Contacts and People but there's only one contact there. I had atleast 30 old contacts that I had saved in MSN messenger and they're nowhere to be found now.

Should the data of Mail.MSMessageStore be transferred in a WML re-installation?

                To a Windows 10 Build 1909 Desktop PC where I reinstalled the WLM program , I successfully moved over my WLM data contained in "Storage Folders." This was accomplished via the Import function of WLM from the USB drive (NTFS format) where the data had been transferred before the Windows 10 Build 1909 Reinstallation had to unfortunately be performed yet again on the same machine. (Much THANKS to   ¡Firedog  and  ClitheroeKid  for their numerous previous answers which continue to guide me!!!!) QUESTION: What is the role of the data-laden Mail.MSMessageStore ? What "opens" it?  Should it be added directly to  my new WLM too? If so, how and where? Also, the WLM folder on the USB has TWO OEA Account{letters-numbers} folders ,neither of which match the single  OEA Account{letters-numbers} folder now nestled in my C Drive's WLM background folder. QUESTION:  What is the significance of the OEA account folders? Are they simply vestiges  from previous transfers?  Should they be added too? If so, how and where?  POINT OF INFORMATION: I did not move over the "WML" folder in its entirety because my plethora of subfolders were once multi-multiplied during a previous attempt.

I asked a question earlier today and now can't seem to find it, no matter what I search. I'm so very frustrated with Microsoft at the moment. The photo app keeps freezing. I've updated the app. I've "repaired" it and "reset" it. I've turn my computer off and on. As I said, I wrote a question earlier, but can't find that thread. The app just freezes when its trying to find new photos. 

The last "helpful" comment written by the advisor was if I've tried to update it on the Microsoft Store or reinstall via Powershell. I don't even know what Powershell is. Why does this have to be so difficult?

Movies not playing smoothly when created in Microsoft video editor

Hi,

I have some videos I shot on my new iphone, and they all play fine on my phone. I wanted to combine them all into a movie. I downloaded them onto my brand new Lenovo laptop, purchased Aug 2020 ( I have updated all the relevant software since purchase), when I play the videos from my phone on the laptop they all play fine, no matter how I play them, in Windows Photos or on VLC player etc.. but once I combined them all into a short 2 minute movie on Windows Photos/Video the playback is all jerky and slow???

I am getting this message when I try to open my Movie Maker Projects:


Sorry, Movie Maker can't open this project file. The file might not be compatible with Windows Live Movie Maker or be corrupted.

It is the 2012 version however, the projects were created in 2007.

I really need to get this fixed to finish a critical project.

Adding layers in Photos

Hi,

Can I add multiple layers in Microsoft Photo? For example in Photoshop, you can add multiple transparent layers, place pictures etc.
