First, be aware you are dealing with someone who is lacking computer literacy.

I upgraded to Windows 8.1.

I use IE 11.

I have a Hotmail email address that I access at https://blu176.mail.live.com/default.aspx?id=64855

When I click on a message in my inbox, nothing happens.

When I right-click and select "forward", I can see the message and forward it successfully.

I looked at other questions similar to this and according to the advice given, I deleted temporary internet files. Then I looked at my add-ons, but didn't turn anything off because I don't know what I am doing. There weren't many: Adobe PDF Link Helper, Shockwave Flash Object, Bing, Email with Windows Live, Map with Bing, and Translate with Bing.

Help, please.
