Just bought new laptop. Hate Windows 8, thinking of taking it back and going with Apple. However, I like the computer. So, I am trying to learn the new system. Have been able to find answers to problems as they come up on line, but not this problem. I do not see the gear icon anywhere and I spent over an hour looking in various places. This is not acceptable. I need to change my page to where I can either check one box or all of them to delete without opening each email. As it is now, when I click on one, it opens. I don't have this problem on my Windows XP and XP professional. Also, need to see the bar or whatever there is to click or tap for attachments, forwards, replies, etc. What do I do when I have no gear icon?
