I have a problem with Outlook crashing when I quit the application. This has been going on for a while, and it has our IT Team stumped. I'm running Outlook for Mac 2011 v14.4.3 on OS 10.8.5. Rebuilding the Main Identity seems to help, but things eventually degrade back to the starting point.

I regularly use Parallels, although I never use Outlook simultaneously on both platforms. I have a second, Windows based, workstation in another location that I use twice a week. Although crashes on my Mac seems to be more common after using Windows, I don't think there is a direct association since it will crash without ever running Windows. I don't know if this may help, but it seems that setting up my Identity in Outlook on my Mac or downloading messages into my InBox can sometimes be extremely slow. It's almost as if there is a communication block between the Mac Outlook front end and our Windows based server.

Other Macs at our company have Parallels and, for whatever reason, mine seems to be the only one with this problem. As best as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be anything else being compromised by these crashes. It's simply that I don't consider crashes to be a good thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you,

Dave
