About a year ago, I successfully set up my bellsouth.net account on Outlook for Mac 2011 using AT&T settings, and recently it has stopped working. I get a message that I have incorrect user name and password.
I tried just re-entering the password in the pop-up window; but it does not work
I tried re-adding the bellsouth.net account using AT&T recommended settings for POP and even tried IMAP out of desperation:
>> inbound/outbound.att.net, 995/465, SSL
>> imap/smtp.mail.att.net, 993/465, SSL
No success either way, I keep getting error #MBR1212.
When I try using the yahoo servers (pop/smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com 995/465, SSL) it works, but it re-downloads fresh, unread copies of all my old emails in the web account... I already have multiple copies; so I don't want to use these settings...
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
