I am supporting a longtime hotmail user who is having trouble with his hotmail account.
He reports problems both in sending and receiving mail.
He often uses browser to view email via outlook.com on a browser, but he also uses ipad and iphone as well as both Mac and Windows computers.
Issues seems to exist on all platforms.
I have been testing using Chrome 30 on a Windows 7 computer.
His account shows only one received email since Nov 2. I have sent messages that are not showing in his inbox or junkmail. My server reports successful delivery to his email server.
I have used webmail interface to send outbound mail. When I click send I get a message at the top saying "Sorry, Outlook wasn't able to complete this request." When I click on inbox or other folder to change view I get
a warning notice saying I am leaving the page without my message being sent.
The sent messages are actually received at the other end, however they are not showing in the sent folder.
For trouble shooting I have tried:
clearing browser cache
moving 228 of 9975 messages in the sent folder to another folder
Testing after each of these has resulted in the same behavior.
