Hi,
I have an email account with @outlook.com, this email account is seldom accessed and one of the email accounts I have with a strong password. The latest login I made to it was last week and was presented with the notification message as per the attached
image. Even with the notification, the email account is working fine after you click on Skip and no restrictions in using it. I changed the password immediately with a stronger combination. Checked the the INBOX and there was no bounced back messages and
the Sent it empty so it cannot be spamming as there will be traces of it found usually when your account is used for sending SPAM mails. If the email is used for something fraudulent, then a notification should have been sent by Outlook or any affected parties
but one week had passed and none was received, only the usual Newsletter from online shop I signed up with this email account and from Outlook and Windows like Skype, etc... Used the feedback contact of Outlook but no reply was sent to me also when inquiring
about the issue. I use the same computers, devices and browser to log in to my other Live and Hotmail accounts always and none of these account had this issue and they are the accounts that always get SPAM mails and used to send out emails.
Kindly provide more details on this issue and what are the risks of letting this on the account or any possible solution other than verification by mobile which seems unnecessary and almost seems like what spammers do to gather information from the account
owner, something like "we notice your account was accessed from somewhere and to verify this is you, enter your username and password in the link or I have lots of cash in the bank, send me your full details so I can transfer the money to you or to your bank
account".
