I was excited yesterday when I got the news that outlook.com (former Hotmail) has added IMAP support. Then I configured my email clients (Mac Mail, Outlook for Mac 2013 and Windows Live Mail) using IMAP. Unfortunately none of them worked. They all showed errors like "time out" or simply stopped responding. After trying several times, I noticed the folder list has been downloaded. Then I clicked the "hide/show folder" button. At that time (yesterday afternoon) the functionality was available. Today I checked my Hotmail account configured using Exchange protocol (the default protocol) in Windows Live Mail and found the "sent" and "deleted" folder disappeared. I think that's because I hided those folder yesterday on the IMAP configuration. So I sought to recover them and then realized the functionality is no longer available. So I have no way to get my folder back.

Why was the "show/hide folder" function was available yesterday, but now has been taken off? If it's still in beta phase, why made it available to public? Now I have the trouble getting my email folders displayed in my Windows Live Mail using exchange protocol. I wonder if anyone has noticed or experienced this problem.

Thanks!
