I can use the Calendar Hotlink to navigate to a date and get the full calendar of events for that day (today)

I choose a date from the calendar picker, say Oct 28

I get the full day's events but when I use the arrow key next to "Monday" (to go to Tuesday)

I get only those events that span multiple days.
