I've got an LG Optimus Elite, Android 2.3.7

But when I check email, I want it be updated, or I want to be able to easily update it. 

From what I can tell, the outlook android app has two settings: you can receive notifications, or you can have the app on "pause", which means it never updates.

Am I missing something? Is it not functioning properly? When I toggle updates to "off", I get a message that the app has "paused". When I hit refresh, my email updates, I check settings, and the update setting has been toggled back to "on".

Again, I wonder if I'm missing something or if the app is really that dumb.
