I am using Office 2011 Home and Office on a Mac Pro OSX 10.9.5
The Outlook 2011 "Search" function not working after upgrading to Mavericks.
Very strangely, Outlook sees all my e-mails, they are there, but the Search is not functioning...
MORE strangely, I cannot find my email database :
I know it should be here : user/Documents/Microsoft User Data What I DO find there is "Utilisateurs Office 2004" and that is inside "Données utilisateurs Microsoft" ( I am in France ), and I also have in user/Documents/ : "Microsoft User Data" which contains Entourage Scripts, and Microsoft Messenger Data, but no database for Office 2011, or Outlook 2011....
With my Mac's spotlight I have searched for "Office 2011 Identities", "Utilisateurs Office 2011" and "user data" and "Office 2011", but Spotlight finds nothing, and I have not idea where the database is hiding...
Again, I repeat, all my e-mails appear correctly in my Outlook window.... it is simply the Search function that is not working... So Outlook somehow knows where my user database is, but it seems that it is invisible. It is not in Library/Application Support
I even used the Microsoft Database Utility.app to re-build the database : again, no problem but that did not get Spotlight to index it....
It may be important to know that when I installed Office 2011, I imported all my mails, etc. from Entourage ( does that have the same name in English ? ) from Office 2008.
I am using a Mac Pro OSX 10.9.5
On this Mac I have upgraded from Office 2004 to Office 2008 to Office 2011, so I have a lot of Office things on the hard disk and I do find the older databases that have not been modified for years....
PLEASE HELP ME ! unsearchable Outlook is not very usefull !
Also, on a different MacPro OSX 10.7.5 the "Search" function in Outlook IS working, but when I do a search in Spotlight, it shows me for example an e-mail containing the word I am looking for, but when I select that, I get an Outlook e-mail page that is emptiy with "6170.vRge08Message (49,8 ko) in the attachement box, but the mail itself is not showing.... I have to go again to Outlook and do the same search again.... THEN I can find it... but not directly from Spotlight as I could before.... (this is also Office 2011 Home and Office )
Best wishes,
D.L.
