Help! I have changed the settings in my outlook preferences to "manually" receive messages. Which should mean that my mail only comes in when I hit the button to refresh my inbox. This is not working and I continue to be alerted to messages the instant they come in. (I have also tried setting intervals and these setting aren't working either.) It is imperative that I am not receiving emails all throughout the day or else I will not get my work done! How do I stop the new message influx and set my new message retrieval to manual? It appears that this is a system flaw since I know that my settings are correct. I am updated to the newest version of Microsoft 2011 for Mac 14.3.8.
