Since I can't drag and drop - I'm trying to organize pictures from a recent trip taken on 3 cameras. 

I have them sorted by date.

Despite other posts - which say this will automatically organize them by TIME taken it does not.  So each set of pictures taken on each day is organized by camera.

Also the whole trip is lumped into months...how can I divide them by day?

Oh please tell me there is a way...to do both things but especially sort by date AND time taken.
