I have looked through many of the posts referring to Windows Essentials and the Windows Photo Gallery.   

I have a new HP Windows 8.1 which came with this program installed.  Whenever I try to access the photo gallery portion, it will open up, bring in tons of photos from my computer but then an error box comes up saying it must close.   Prior to it closing it says it's looking for ways to correct the problem then says it could not find a correction and shuts down.  I have followed the instructions from an earlier post in having it 'repaired', that didn't work so I actually deleted the program through the add/delete/change programs and reinstalled it, but again, that doesn't work.

Any thoughts on this?  I'd love to use it but can't.
