I have several eml files (saved emails) saved in W7. I have now installed W10 which doesn't seem to recognise these file. I have Windows Live Mail installed (but not Outlook). I tried right clicking on the file and choosing a program to open it with, but the list does not include any mail program and if you choose find another program it merely opens the file explorer programs folder. If you then click on Windows Live/Mail nothing happens. I tried selecting the file extension eml form the list of apps assigned to file extensions and W10 appears to think an eml file is a PDF (indeed the icon displayed for the file is a PDF icon) and was disinclined to let me change this to Windows Live Mail (or anything else for that matter).

Is there any way to fix this.
