Hello there,
I've been using Windows Live Mail 2011 for 4 years with no problems - its a great Email programme.
(My computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium.)
When I open up Windows Live Mail it has always signed me in automatically, and still does - no issues there.
Surrounding my profile picture is a border, and this border always used to light up "Green" to show that I'm online, or "Amber" to show that I am away etc.. In fact it always corresponded with my current Skype / Messenger online status. This feature was useful as it also showed up who was and wasn't online in my Email contact list. (My Skype contacts also show up in there.)
For a week or so now this feature has stopped working, and just seems to show me as being "Invisible" or "Offline" all of the time. This is also mirrored in my contact list. Contacts that are "Online" seem to always be shown as "Offline" or "Invisible".
If I go into my Microsoft Account profile, I am shown as "Online" there, so I know that isn't the problem. My Skype and Microsoft accounts are linked, and have been since the old Windows Live Messenger service was made redundant 3 years ago.
Does anyone know how to get this feature working again? Or do I just have to put up with it. Could this be linked to a recent Skype update do you think??
Any help would be appreciated.
Nick.
