Hi All,
Exactly 20 days ago, everything was well with OneNote Sync and I was using it without issue across devices. But 16 days ago, I got a message asking me to install/update Windows Essentials and in my naiveté, I accepted. But ever since I installed Windows essentials, no more sync for OneNote.
It now requires me to sign in through Windows live, once I enter my Outlook credentials (which I have been using so far for syncing), I'm told email or password incorrect with error code #800 488 21. Mind you I have been using that email for décades now but somehow it just happens to be suddenly incorrect. I can still access my emails.
In the sync section of OneNote, I get this message "a password is required to synchronize this notebook. Error code #0xE0000024"
I tried to uninstall Windows Essentials since that's where the whole issue started from, but it just won't go away. I Wonder if it's legal to force consumers to kepp your software on their PC if they decide they no longer want it?
Can someone please help me with the issue? What should I do exactly? I have been banging my head left and right for 2 weeks now and I'm exhausted.
