First, thank you for the help on my last question. My PC is up and running.
Second, I am having trouble with Outlook on my MacBook Air. It is running OS X El Capitan, version10.11.2. My email account is through a 3rd party and not one of the big ones. When I try to set up Outlook through an exchange, it seems to connect to the other email, with all the correct ports, but cannot sync with it. There are two error messages that come up, but not at the same time.
1. Server cannot connect. Try again in a few minutes.
2. Outlook cannot set up this account. Do you want to check your security settings?
Nothing seems to work. I tried to set it up as an Exchange, an IMAP and as a POP.
Note: I am basically a PC guy with limited Mac experience. I inherited the laptop.
