In most cases that really doesn't benefit the user or the system and I am a bit confused as to why either app requires the higher end GPU since they are pretty basic in the UI department. This can make a pretty drastic (2-3hr) cut from my total battery
life and I assume others have the same issue.
Anyone know how to force those apps to use the integrated graphics subsystem?
It isn't that I don't want the GPU to be available, but as soon as I run either outlook or lync the system switches and stays locked on the (in my case 650M) GPU and cannot automatically switch when required until those apps are turned off. If they intelligently
used the GPU, great, but that isn't the case.
