All,

I recently had to install FileVault2 on my Mac.  After the encryption of the disk was successful, I noticed some issues with Office Mail searches.  Everything comes back as "No Results".   I re-index Spotlight.  Spotlight searches comes back with email entries that match my query but when trying to open them, I get the following message from Outlook "Outlook cannot open the file because it is not associated with the default identity."  Now, when I go to my outlook database folder location:  user/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity/  I see no contents.  When I launch Outlook with the "Option" key, I see "Main Identity" as the only entry.  Mail seems to be working fine with the exception of the search function.  I did remember making a copy of the Main Identity to another folder on my Hard drive prior to doing the disk encryption.  Would Outlook automatically know where this file was located and use it to manage my mail?  How would I verify this?  What would happen to my mail if I copied all of the contents of this folder back to the original location?  I am confused as to why spotlight is finding updated mail in this non-default location while stating this is not my Main Identity.

Any  assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

Scott Jackson
