I have an email in my inbox, typically its the only 1, so it automatically highlights it upon opening. Clearly its some spam / virus and when it is highlighted it locks the Outlook software, pops up with a message as follows:

"There is a problem with the Office Database. To use the database you must rebuild it using the Database Utility"

it goes on to explain he database stores your personal information etc etc , and gives me 2 options. Cancel or Rebuild. 

I don't want to rebuild as I have no idea what access that allows whoever sent the email Some one called "Ruby Holman" in this instance, if I press cancel it closes the Office Outlook Email program and when I restart -  the whole process starts again !!!

I have tried sending myself an email from phone to laptop so it will highlight that instead as most recent, but outlook never gets far enough to download the new  incoming mail. 

I am using the Mac version of Office, 2011

Anyone heard of it before , any suggestions or solved it ?
