Not So Easy – Downloading emails from outlook.com to Outlook 2010

I have an Outlook.com account with a domain specific email address.  I have had to migrate to another provider who supports iMAP, how can I download my old emails onto Outlook?  

I have tried using the hotmail connector, the account has been setup however none of the emails have been downloaded
