Is there anyway to turn off the "bad" email filtering for my hotmail account?

I have had two occurrences of this within the past two days -- two important emails were not delivered to me. They were just not. They were marked as sent on the sender's sides.

My junk folder is empty. My deleted items folder is empty. My blocked senders list is blank. Where are the messages?

I had to re-route my senders to my gmail account. Yes, I received those messages but it cost me time and effort.

Microsoft, have a courtesy of throwing those in my junk folder. Do not make them disappear!

If you cannot do it, then just admit it. I will completely stop using hotmail and move to gmail which seems to have more sophisticated fileting algorithms.

Please let me know if anything can be done to avoid message kidnapping? Any options I can turn on/off?
