I can't receive any emails on windows live getting error message when I try to syn my account up!

An error occurred while establishing the Dial-Up Network connection 'ɯ'.

I was advised by BT to remove the account and create a new one on IMAP instead of POP which was working ok. I was dubious but the guy said he was certain it would work, yeah right! He didn't advised me I was going to lose all my emails and folders as well. Now I'm really UPSET!!!!!

I've gone back and created a new one and now I'm staring at a blank box

1. Is there any way I can get my old emails back.

2. Most importantly how do I get my NEW EMAILS.

Please help!!
