No Disk Burner available error when trying to burn in Movie Maker

I have Windows 7 Home premium and using the movie maker program.
 Recently I have experienced several problems when it come to burning a DVD.
 Either, after selecting Burn DVD, the program displays - "No Disk Burner available" or it will start saving the movie and the screen will suddenly freeze and go black.

Any suggestions?
