Ok so I have installed windows essentials....I didn't help T_T

Everytime I playback a vid [before editing and after] the audio stops....and I mean all of it.....no music, cant hear games, or someone talking to me..

it just all stops......I also looked at what type of video files and yes I am using the correct files...

IF anyone can help me please reply.
