New SkyDrive does not back up my sub folders!

Hi, I installed the new version, asked it to upload a 20GB folder.   Now, for some reason, it only uploads the content that ISN'T a sub folder.  SkyDrive used to 'just work'.  What have you done to it?!!!

Proof:

Step 1:  The folder I asked SkyDrive to put in cloud: about 20GB:


Step 2: The 'sounds in progress' folder has a size of 7.9 MB:




Step 3:  SkyDrive shows the files as they used to be EXCEPT for subfolders such as  the 'sounds in progress' folder which shows 0 bytes:




Step 4: SKyDrive says 'Scanning Files' (not very useful info)



Please tell me how to fix it.  I am a very busy man and will need to get a refund and move to Google Drive or a solution that just works if SkyDrive no longer works correctly.

ok, so after thinking for half an hour, SkyDrive now says it's uploading the files:  


I'll let you know if it uploads them correctly this time. D
