I have an older camcorder (Canon HV20) that uses mini-HDV tapes and Firewire to connect to a PC. I recently upgraded to a new machine with 8.1 and installed a Firewire card. When I try to import video in Movie Maker, it rewinds the tape and then I get the following message: "The video device is currently in use. Close any other program that is using the device and try again. If you need to start the Import Video again, turn off your import device and then turn it on again."

I've tried restarting the PC, turning off the camcorder, ... it still gives me the same error. Any suggestions?
