My calendar is continuously updating

I have the same problem many others have in that my windows live mail calendar is continuously updating. I do not use the calendar that often but when I noticed that large amounts of data was being used from my quota I searched and found that by signing out of live mail the calendar stopped flashing and also the data transfer.

I have tried several of the 'fixes' suggested by your moderators and other people that say they have cured their problem. My problem is still with me. I could live without the calendar but by being signed out from WLM and do not have access to all my contacts. In fact my list has reverted back to one I had over 12 months ago.
