I have spent hours editing multiple 2 minute length video clips and pictures from a recent trip together into 1 video as I have many times in the past using MovieMaker 2012 build 16.4.3528.0331 .  I ran into a problem initially when trimming video the remaining portion of the trimmed video showed a yellow triangle but played fine.  As I proceeded, the 20 minute video stopped showing the rest of the video and pictures at the 6 minute 50 second mark.  However, all fo the story board seemed intact.  I could highlight the sections after 6:50, but I could not play from there.  I saved the project and reopened and now nothing shows on the story board.  When I hit Play, I get a black screen for the video but the still images will appear.  Nothing about the files' location has changed, except that I have copied more clips into the subdirectory.

I have opened the wlmp file as an xml and checked it for validity using an online tool (xml validator) which says the xml is valid.

can you help me save hours of work?
