So I've worked with a project occasionally for about a month now and I'm having trouble opening it. Today earlier I edited the videos of the project and suddenly the file that I was working on, turned grey and Movie Maker told me that it was "corrupted". That had happened to me before and usually I just remove the specific video from the project. This time, however, I was so proud of what I had edited and couldn't bring myself to remove it and do it all again.. So I looked for help on the Internet and did as one comment in an another conversation advised: I saved the project and restarted Movie Maker.

Well, it fixed the "corruption" problem, but suddenly, I got a new one to work on. I edited the project happily for a short amount of time, but then, when I moved my cursor on a file, it turned white, it disappeared! When I moved my cursor on the files that came right after, they disappeared too! (The files that came before the file that disappeared first, didn't disappear) This has happened to me before as well. I did what usually fixes this problem, I saved the project and restarted the application.

Everything just got worse after that. I opened the project but everything that I saw was white. Every file had disappeared. When I clicked on the play button, the play screen only showed all the texts that I had added, but everything else was black. I couldn't hear the music, either. I could move the MovieMaker "cursor" thingy around but obviously it just moved on the white background and no files reappeared.

I've restarted my computer and Movie Maker many times but nothing has changed. This has never happened to me before and the project that I've been talking about all the time is the only one that doesn't open properly.

What can I do? Is there a solution or shall I just create a new project? The picture below shows what Movie Maker looks like, when I open the project.
