I need to know what I am doing wrong in trimming a song. I can NOT convince Movie Maker that I truly do NOT want to use the entire song in this video. It's insisting on it being all or nothing.

I have tried this, which says:

Splitting may be worth a try...

Make a split on each side of the portion you wish
to keep and right click / delete the unwanted portions.

And when I "delete the unwanted portion" it, as per instructions.... it deletes the entire song. *All* sections of it. Even though they are most *definitely* split. They are SO split, in fact, that I apparently accidentally moved part of the song to another section of the movie. But I cannot delete it without deleting the part I DO want. Help?? How can I ONLY have the second half of this darn song in this video?
