Hey Community,
I've been working on an epic video for the past 4 months, on and off, and finally started to get close to the end when Movie Maker crashed on me, this morning. Windows ended the program and upon restart asked me if I wanted to restore the project. I had done very little since my last save, so just said "No" and opened the file. Upon opening, my timeline was empty :(. No audio, no video. The preview showed a duration of 39 minutes, but was all black, even when I tried to pay it.

I've looked around the Community for tips and tried:
- The temp backup file. It's time saved looks like it was created after I choose not to restore my project, though. Plus, trying to open it gets me a different error anyways.
- Re-installing Movie Maker from the command line, no luck.
- Re-installing Movie Maker and running CCleaner to clean out remaining registry files.
- Changing the location of the source movie files.
Nothing has worked. I'm desperate. Desperate and frustrated, because I feel like a better message on the Do you want to restore popup could've prevented this. Or WLMM could've at least kept the old restore file for me to work with... maybe they did? Somewhere?
Is there any chance I can get my project back? Appreciate any help you can offer.
