There are a number of templates in the folder C:Program Files (x86)Windows LivePhoto GalleryMovieMakerTemplates (Win 7 Premium).  They are text files with .wlms and .wlmx extensions.  I can open using notepad.exe (set for "all files") and contents appear to set up default settings for captions, etc.

I use captions thoughout my videos and the current defaults reset the dialogs each time I add a caption.  I always end up changing the settings each time.  I would like to change the caption defaults to Left justify, medium outline, color black, and duration 35 seconds.

After I make a "template" file, how do I get MovieMaker to read in the template before I start a project?  And which name and file extension should I save the file?  Or is there a different approach, such as an .ini file, to set these defaults?
