1 st September Movie maker stopped working on my PC - spent two days trying to work out why. I use this PC  for recording music because I am a song writer. Movie Maker has worked on it for years and survived the various operating system changes - 7 - 8 and 8 -10 .Its a simple tool just for putting ideas together sound and image. Sometimes I make cords or move fingers and forget - this way you can check back. ( I mention this because I already use various DAWs eg Sonar - and this might be somebodies suggested alternative). Tried everything - changed drivers , uninstalled re-installed - ran as admin - tried all compatibility settings etc etc

Later on, on  the second of September i had an idea that essentials/movie maker  was also on my other PC in front of me. So I loaded up and off it went - no problem plugged in Lifecam. So, 2 PCs in front of me Movie maker works on one and not the other. The second PC is only used for photography and hadn't been used it for a while!! 

So decided to just check the options/setup on both computers side by side. Whilst doing this Movie Maker stopped working on the other PC! Checked various things  found that windows 10 was updating. So came to conclusion that something in these updates stopped it. Moviemaker is a wonderful program - nothing on the market comes anywhere near it for the use I make of it. But I wont go on. I have years of recorded song ideas and melodies recorded!!!!!

The the actual issue with it now is...... it loads, you get barely a second of movement shown on screen via the Lifecam and then the live image freezes. Then if you record - the clock ticks away, stop save and the rendered image of your video stays black and of courses when played you get the black screen. Can anyone suggest how I can resolve this please.
