I had posted the post as above. The solution was to uninstall update KB2670838 .
Later Movie Maker had the same problem so I looked in the updates and KB2670838 was installed again so I uninstalled it and movie maker worked again.
Now I have again the exact same problem! And now KB2670838 is not installed.
Is there anything else I can do?
I must honestly say that I am getting a bit tired of having the problem over and over again.
