I have a new Asus gaming laptop with Windows 8.  I record television shows  using WinTV 7.  On my old laptop (with XP) I always used Movie Maker to edit the shows & make clips.  I'm trying to learn to use the new version of Movie maker but when I import the video I only get sound, no picture. Do I need to somehow convert the video because the WinTV is too old to be compatible?  I saw a question with a similar problem but they weren't using WinTV.  I'm not that computer savvy & I don't know if the answer given to them applies to my problem. Thanks.
