I've spent about 8 hours now trying to fix this, so I will try to be nice.

When I open movie maker I get a window that says bad image. problem with windows/system32/atidxx32.dll

I have followed every instruction you've posted.

Fix it, media info, codec files, dll files, uninstalled movie maker, reinstalled movie maker, restarted my computer a million times, etc...

I finally added the indicated .dll file (I only had the atidxx64.dll file). That didn't fix anything either...

I've read every post in Microsoft support and every forum on the internet regarding this. A lot of people have this issue and few if any are resolved.

I downloaded a competing video editor and finally just used it instead.

Is this a problem MS has fixed?
