When I play my movie in the program, everything plays smoothly with no problems, but every time I publish, in the same few spots where it goes to a new clip, there is a skip or glitch saved in the video.

I've seen this question a few times and I've tried some of the solutions like updating my driver and repairing Windows Essentials. My source file is an MP4, but it's my understanding that to convert the file to WMV as some posters have suggested, I'd have to start all over with my edits which would take ages. (I'd be happy to be wrong in this case if it will fix the problem.) The only thing I haven't tried is messing with codecs because I don't know enough about it to know where to begin. If anyone has any suggestions specific to my circumstances, I'd be greatly appreciative. I'm running 64-bit Windows 10. Thank you :D
