Hi.

I'm having problems with a significant loss of picture resolution on my final Movie Maker project and wondering if someone can help.

I've read through most of the posts with the same issue and it doesn't sound good, not sure there is a solution to this based on all the responses.

I've got a one month old Dell desktop with all kinds of RAM and capacity and working in Windows 8.

I downloaded Movie Maker two weeks ago (so hopefully it's the latest version) and started on my project.

I'm loading high resolution pictures (2000 plus pixels) as well as HD video into the project.

I save the project in 1080 format to my computer and then burn it from there to a DVD.

I also have a Blu Ray burner and have burned it to a Blu Ray as well.

The saved project looks fine on my computer but the DVD and/or Blu Ray has very poor quality resolution on the pictures when played back on TV.

The strange thing about it is that the HD video comes out fine, with no resolution issues.

I've tried reducing the picture size before importing to MM (to around 700 pixels) and then saving and burning, but still have the same picture resolution issues with the final project on either a DVD or Blu Ray when played back on a bid screen HDTV through a PlayStation.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to resolve the issue with the loss of picture resolution?

Thanks much, I'm nearing a project deadline (end of year video for high school team) and getting worried.
