Recently my hard drive died on this computer so I lost my MS Windows Movie Maker when I added the new SSD, so I need help and advice.

Every year I create the end-of-the-year video for my daughter's cheer banquet and I had become quite proficient in Movie Maker.  I would develop a slide show of pics and videos of the specific events set to music - sort of like a video yearbook.  Then I burn them to a DVD for all the girls to take home.

Now this year is my daughter's senior year, it is my last year to do this and I am not sure what software to use since I no longer have Movie Maker.  Can you please advise what is the best alternative to produce the same quality videos I have in the past.
