So lately I've been using Movie Maker to edit a lot of my videos. Unfortunately it's been giving me great struggles. I am a teenage boy, so my knowledge of editing softwares and behind the scenes info are limited. I apologize ahead of time if I don't grasp what you're trying to say the first time. My problem starts with splitting videos in Movie Maker. When I split a video, it often takes Movie Maker a minute to load the two (now seperate) videos. After it has loaded and I continue to do this to other videos in movie maker (Splitting them and deleting parts I don't want) I started to realize when I played the video in the viewing box to the left that it was a black screen. Sometimes I think Movie Maker is just being slow, so I leave it to load, and once and a while this works. But more often than not, the black screen stays. This is a huge problem when trying to trim down and edit areas out of the video I don't want. I am trying to make a montage, but if I can't see the screen, I have nothing to work with. The audio still works when playing through this black screen, and some of the split videos still work. If you have any ideas of what may be causing this, or if I've run into a bug, please let me know!
Some info of my Movie Maker I am aware of consists of:
*I am using Windows 8.1
*I have a lot of memory stored in Movie Maker that may be slowing it down (Are there any ways to speed it up?)
Thanks again!
