I've been using Movie Maker for years and haven't had any problems adding .mod and .mpg files onto my projects.  Now all of the sudden the contents of those files don't show although the files itself show on the timeline (the content does not show on the timeline or if I try to play the clip).  There is just an empty clip on the timeline for the actual duration of the file on it.   If I add e.g. a .mov file when I first open Movie Maker, that file shows just fine but if I first add a .mod or .mpg file and then add a .mov file, the .mov file also becomes an empty clip on the timeline.

I've done all the driver updates as directed in this forum and done the codec checks etc. but nothing seems to work.  I have all the log files available if someone can just tell me where to upload them.
