I am sorry this is long but want to give as much detail so there won't be a reply I have already tried. I am on Windows 7. When I launch Window movie maker (latest version) I get the error message that wlxphotobase.dll is missing. I search these threads and only found ether advice to go to a website that doesn't work now, clean reboot (which I tried and did not work) and uninstall and reinstall. I used programs and features to uninstall Window Essentials and then downloaded the setup from windows and tried to reinstall it but the setup told me the latest version are all installed. I look through programs and features and Window Essentials is not listed anymore. I then did a search for anything named moviemaker on my pc and a installer for movie make, I right clicked it and it gave me the option to uninstall which I did so. I then again tried the install setup and was able to install window movie maker and photo gallery. I try to open movie maker and still missing the file. I searched the other Window Essentials programs and found files, I did not find anymore installers. I tried to delete the files and kept giving me try again (yes I am admin). How do I get the missing wlxphotobase.dll file back?
