With the demise of Apple Aperture and the age of my iMac, I am considering moving back from OSX to Windows. Live Gallery looks like it has all of the tools that I use regularly. I have an Office 365 account, so the soon to be included 1TB of storage would be perfect for my 6000+ raw picks, their XIF data and corresponding edited versions (110 gb).
I have done facial recognition, and also embedded the names as keywords, but I would obviously rather keep the faces. I also have done much editing and would like to at least save the jpgs and somehow keep them attached to their orginal raw files.
The obvious question is how to migrate to Live Gallery and keep as much of my data as possible intact. At a minimum, I would like to save my raw files and their embedded data.
This is a wonderful opportunity for Microsoft, so is there an easy migration path? Are there any tools to help keep the work I've done for 10 years?
